Gonadorelin is synthetic GnRH (pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2), identical to the endogenous hypothalamic decapeptide. Pulsatile administration stimulates pituitary gonadotroph cells to release LH and FSH. Continuous administration causes receptor desensitisation and gonadotropin suppression.
