Epithalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on epithalamin, a pineal gland extract. It activates telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT), enabling telomere elongation in somatic cells. Epithalon also stimulates pineal melatonin synthesis and has demonstrated lifespan extension of 13–31% in multiple animal models.
